I am thinking of starting a real estate company in Tennessee. What is a fair way of paying a principal broker? Do they typically get paid a salary or percentage of what agents produce? I am a licensed broker, but do not wish to be the principal.

I would like to futher my education in college with a base in business b/c I hope and plan to own a business one day. I have always been interested in Real Estate and I love architecture, design, traveling etc and enjoy working with people. What route should I take if I want to go to college but at the same time I know I dont need college to become a real estate agent. AND are their other professions dealing with real estate that in fact need a higher education to qualify for those jobs?

I am a new york real estate saleperson in NYC and my real estate broker is holding on to my commisson after I have left his company. Who do I contact in order to report him?
Also he has been holding commission for other agent with his personal account. Can I use this to report to revoke his broker license?

After the sale of a home, let’s say a real estate company gets 3%. What percentage of that 3% does the agent typically get from the broker if the agent made the sale? This should be answered preferably by an agent, and in California if that makes a difference! What would be an ideal percentage of that 3% for new agents, and when should an agent get a raise?

Is this something that someone can get into without a finance back ground, but is familiar with real estate and development? Would anyone suggest places to find investors for small real estate projects in the Chicago-land area? Looking for investors willing to invest a very small amount (under $200,000) 12-16 months with a substantial return on investment.

How do you go about becoming a real estate broker in Michigan? Not a real estate sales person. I know that there is licensing that is required. But do you have to work a certain amount of time as a real estate sales person to become a broker? Also, what if you wanted to start your own realty company do you have to hire a licensed broker or can you start you own business as your own broker?

This pertains to Oklahoma Real Estate Law, and if they are not suppose to and they do, what are the consequences?
